Arrowhead Pooper Scoopers has quickly become a popular and well respected place to work in the Valley of the Sun for prospective LDS Mormon Missionaries.

At a time when quality, well-paying jobs are in limited supply, APS is growing and providing good pay, flexible schedules (no Sundays), healthy & active work, enjoyable co-workers, supportive LDS management, thorough training and 100's of happy, long-term weekly clients for excellent job security.

Every capable, worthy young man is strongly encouraged to serve an LDS Mormon mission.  When called to the work, the cost of $400 per month or $9,600 for 24 months can seem daunting, but Arrowhead Pooper Scoopers can help you accomplish this goal in about 6 months, including paying your tithing.  Use this Mission Savings Calculator to plan for your LDS Mormon mission costs.

“We affirm that missionary work is a priesthood duty—and we encourage all young men who are worthy and who are physically able and mentally capable to respond to the call to serve. Many young women also serve, but they are not under the same mandate to serve as are the young men. We assure the young sisters of the Church, however, that they make a valuable contribution as missionaries, and we welcome their service.” - President Thomas S. Monson

"How wonderful it would be if every boy could totally or largely finance his own mission and thereby receive most of the blessings coming from his missionary labors." - President Spencer W. Kimball

"I promise great blessings—social, physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual blessings—to every young person who pays for a significant part of his or her mission." - Elder L. Tom Perry

"Working and saving for a mission generates enthusiasm for serving and gives a young man or a young woman a good work ethic." - Elder M. Russell Ballard

Edward Maznio, Owner, Husband,
Father, U.S. Army Veteran,
 Stake YM President, Former Bishop

"We've helped 9 LDS young men pay for their
LDS Mormon missions in our first 2.5 years,
and we hope to help many more reach their goals."

"Thank you Edward for employing Nathan, who by the way saved for his entire mission in the 6 months he worked for you."  - Ricky Newberry, Peoria, AZ
"My son Kevin has worked for Arrowhead Pooper Scoopers for the last 6 months.  He has been earning money for his mission.  This has been a very good experience for him because it has helped to prepare him to work 8-10 hours a day, rain or shine (or 115 degree weather!).  He has learned that he has to be prepared to go out to work each day and what that entails.  He has learned responsibility for his employer's car and equipment.  He has had the opportunity to work with customers and learned how to treat them well as a representative of APS.  He has had to get out of his comfort zone and has been able to thrive.  Additionally, he has had an opportunity to learn to manage his money. Overall, I would highly recommend employment at APS for young men or women who are preparing to serve a mission.  Additionally, Edward Maznio is a very fair and competent employer.  I appreciate how he has mentored my son and helped him to grow."  - Joyce & Curtis Wagner, Peoria, AZ

"I just wanted to thank you for everything! Overall this job has been amazing for me, and I loved being able to work. It has helped me to work hard and that will be very valuable for my mission. This job has helped me raise more money than my last job at the childcare that lasted 8 months! You have been a very terrific and understanding boss, and I have learned very many life lessons from you. This is not a very glamorous job in any way however I think it is a job that future missionaries should have to teach them about having a good work ethic. So again thank you, and I appreciate everything you have done for me and have and will continue to do for those who work for you."  - Tanner Pace, Peoria, AZ

"Our son, Jacob, had the privilege of working with Arrowhead Pooper Scoopers for several months in 2016 prior to leaving on his 2-year church mission. The experiences he had were invaluable. Jacob learned he could do hard things and felt the satisfaction of a job well done. Edward Maznio was a kind, fair and organized boss who treated Jacob with respect. Under Edward's leadership, Jacob learned more about treating people with dignity, serving with a smile, staying on schedule, and seeing a job through to the end. Because Jacob earned his money for the mission, the experience has been more meaningful than if we had covered all his expenses. APS helped Jacob be a focused, hard-working missionary."  - Rick & Audrey Saunders, Glendale, AZ

"Working for APS was a great job for me for preparing me for my mission. I loved using my time to increase my testimony of the gospel, I listened to the Book of Mormon and finished it during work. I also memorized the first full three lesson plans in preach my gospel and some in Portuguese as well, and also studied preach my gospel. Also I memorized the first vision, a missionary's purpose, and scripture verses. Also I was able to work on Portuguese and memorized my testimony in Portuguese. I am so grateful for this job because it gave my the opportunity to focus on preparing on my mission, and being able to fully fund my mission."  - Nathan Newberry, Peoria, AZ

"We really appreciated Arrowhead Pooper Scoopers for giving our son, Hunter a great job for a few months before he went on his mission. It was a great way for him to pay for part of his mission. And just as importantly, it was a great way for him to actually prepare for his mission. He was able to reinforce the value of hard work and consistency. He is now on his mission, and has told us that this job was a great tool to prepare him in these ways, and many more."  - Kurt & Becky Wilhelm, Glendale, AZ
