As a responsible pet owner, and a reader of this blog, you already know how important it is to clean up after your dog. It’s not at the top of your to do list and it’s a chore that often gets overlooked. You’re not worried, however, because you called Arrowhead Pooper Scoopers. You scheduled your first appointment but you realize your yard is a mess. Toys are scattered across the lawn and it looks like the grass needs to be cut. I recently had a conversation with Edward Maznio, owner of Arrowhead Scoopers. This is what he wants customers to know:
Our employees need to have access to your yard if you have an appointment. Make sure your gate opens and if you have a keypad, please make sure we have the code. If you need a lock, please let us know. They are free and we are more than happy to bring one to your next appointment. We are not responsible if you mail us a key to your house or yard and it never arrives. If we aren’t able to access your yard, you’ll need to reschedule. We’ll still charge for the service we weren’t able to provide.
If you don’t mow your grass, or have someone mow it for you, our pooper scoopers won’t be able to find the dog poop. Long grass and weeds are also a breeding ground for insects such as the mosquito. If you have an upcoming appointment with us, please make sure your grass is trimmed and your yard is tidy.
Clean up any trash and debris in and around your yard. Trash makes it difficult for employees to do their jobs. If, for example, they need to reach the spigot to use your water, they might not be able to find it. Trash and debris are breeding grounds for bugs and insects so we please ask that all trash be picked up and properly disposed of.
We don’t mind if your dog is in the yard while we clean, as long as he isn’t aggressive. This is for the safety of our employees. We also ask that you keep vaccination records on hand just in case an employee is bit while on the job.
Once you clean up your yard, take a look at your trees. If you have any low hanging branches, trim them, or if they cross power lines, call your utility company and have them do the job for you. Low hanging branches get in the way and they make cleaning up yards difficult.
