Arrowhead Pooper Scoopers Answers Your Questions, Peoria, AZ – Arrowhead Pooper Scoopers

So you have a dog or maybe multiple dogs and dogs do what dogs do, meaning someone needs to clean up the yard. Who will scoop the poop is a constant argument in your household.  Why not let someone else do it for you and reduce the stress in your home? Arrowhead Poopers Scoopers comes to your house, usually weekly and cleans up what your dog leaves behind…their poop. We are a dog poop pick-up service.
But what do we really do, how much, how does it work and what areas do we serve? Here are the answers to our most frequently asked questions.

How much do you charge?

Our standard charges for weekly scooping are $10 for your first dog and $2 for each additional dog.  (Note: A “dog” for our billing definition includes most 4-legged creatures, including your cats, tortoises and other pets that frequently poop in your yard.)  Most clients also request our sanitizing and deodorizing service for $2 a week more.  Also, for new accounts, we charge a new account start-up deep cleaning fee of $15 or more, depending on how much deferred maintenance there is. To calculate bi-weekly (every other week) service, just multiply the weekly charge by two and reduce by 5%.

What geographical areas do you serve?

We serve most of the Phoenix west valley, including Glendale, Arrowhead, Peoria (including Vistancia), Surprise, Sun City, Sun City West, Avondale, Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Buckeye, Tolleson, Waddell, plus parts of west Phoenix.

When you visit my yard, what exactly do you do?

We scoop your dog’s poop by using a grid-method of searching – north to south, then east to west – so we don’t miss any hidden landmines.  Sometimes the scooping is done by hand when the poop is embedded into the gravel (see video below).  After scooping, we bag up the dog waste and deposit it into your trash can.  If you requested our sanitizing and deodorizing service, we spray all areas where dog waste and urination where found prior to leaving. We then exit and ensure that all gates have been closed to prevent a pet escape.

Do I have to be there when you’re there?

No. Most people work during the day and find it difficult to arrange a time to be home when we are there. However, if you want to be there the first day, we can arrange a time frame to meet you and your dog.  Just let us know.

How do I pay for your poop scooping service?

We accept all major credit cards – Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.  After our initial visit when we collect your first payment, your credit card will be securely on file for all future transactions in our secure, encrypted vault.

How do you prevent the spread of waste-borne disease?

We work very hard to prevent any possibility of a waste-borne disease transfer by cleaning and disinfecting our hands, shoes (shoe covers used in high-risk yards), and rake tines after each visit and covering our entire scooping basket with a new trash bag before starting the next yard.  By taking these extra precautions, we remove the possibility of cross contamination of waste-borne diseases like canine parvovirus from yard to yard.  Plus, by helping you remove the dog poop from your yard, we eliminate odors and feces that attract flies, which love to transfer disease from yard to yard or to your favorite BBQ.

What do you do with the dog poop after you pick it up?

We bag it and throw it away in your trash can. If that’s not possible or desired, we haul it away for you for a $2 per week fee.

Do I have to sign any contracts?

There is no minimum service commitment, and you can cancel anytime with a 24-hour notice.
However, we do need permission to be on your property to pick up your dog poop, so we need you to sign a contract that gives us permission and to outline our policies and procedures (also found under “Services” on this website).

What other services do you provide?

We provide a wide array of services, including:  we hose off patios and disinfect dog runs; condominiums; apartments; homeowner’s associations (HOA’s); parks; bike and hiking paths; sand boxes and playgrounds; light yard trash and dog toy clean-ups; one time clean-ups; gift certificates; free estimates; text messages before we arrive; and most importantly – referral rewards!  Tell your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers about Arrowhead Pooper Scoopers and you BOTH get $10 OFF your next scooping service.
